Tour the Historic Scott County Jail by flashlight and listen to history & ghost stories from within.
Service Description
Tour the Historic Scott County Jail Museum after dark and listen to stories of inmates once housed here as well as the frightening tales and ghost stories of the ones who may have never left. You will hear the history, as well as see photo, video and audio paranormal evidence captures from throughout the jail. - Each tour lasts approx. 90 minutes (groups of 10 or less). - Due to mature content, all ticket holders must be at least 10 years of age and older. If the tour guide suspects that there is someone under the required age limit, you may be asked to validate your child's age. - Due to the size of the rooms in the jail, tours will be limited to groups of 10 or less. If a tour is at capacity and all of your group is unable to fit, we may be able to add a second tour. This is not a guaranteed option and depends on scheduling. - Anyone, under the age of 16 purchasing a ticket, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21. - Check in will begin 10 minutes before each tour. Tours will start promptly at the listed start time. Please be on time as we WILL NOT wait for late arrivals. - If you are booked & can't make the tour, please be considerate & let us know you won't be attending. - Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door at the time of the event. They can be purchased on the day of the event and can be purchased online, over the phone or at the jail 3 hours prior to the tour's start time. - This is NOT a paranormal investigation. No outside paranormal equipment will be allowed on the flashlight tours. - Audio & video recording of the tours are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. - Photography is highly encouraged. Please bring your camera. - No alcohol or drugs are permitted and anyone giving the appearance of intoxication or inebriation will be removed from the tour without a refund. No exceptions. Period. PLEASE NOTE: The second and third levels of the jail are ONLY accessible via a moderately strenuous staircase. There is no elevator.

ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. All participants must be at least 10 years old and up to participate. For the enjoyment of all guests participating on our tours, any person, regardless of age, that is unruly, disruptive or inconsiderate will be asked to leave the tour without a refund. This will be at the discretion of the tour guide. This is not a paranormal investigation, so NO OUTSIDE PARANORMAL EQUIPMENT is allowed. Audio and video recording of the tour is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Smoking, vaping and other tobacco usage is prohibited on the property. No alcohol or drugs are permitted and anyone giving the appearance of intoxication or inebriation will be removed from the tour without a refund. Period. No exceptions. This is at the tour guides discretion. *Accessibility For wheelchairs and scooters, the second and third floors of the Historic Scott County Jail are not accessible. These floors are accessed by a staircase that we consider moderately strenuous. Assistance and service dogs, are the only animals that are allowed to enter the historic structure.
