Service Description

Scott County's award winning and ONLY Haunted History Walk. A festive haunted history walking tour through the Town of Huntsville Christmas lights, and ending with a spooky flashlight tour of the Historic Scott County Jail. On the walk, we will be sharing historical facts from Scott County, as well as some of the local ghost stories. Admission includes the guided walk around the Town of Huntsville (45 mins) and a flashlight tour of the Historic Scott County Jail. Select dates available ONLY in December! - Each tour lasts approx. 2 hours (groups of 10 or less). - Anyone, under the age of 16 purchasing a ticket, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21. - No late arrivals. The tour will depart from the Historic Bank Building precisely at the posted start time. If you are running late, we won't be able to wait for you. - Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door at the time of the event. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event and can be purchased online, over the phone or at the ticket office by 3pm EST. Ticket sales will end 3 hours before the start of the tour. - This is not a paranormal investigation. No outside paranormal equipment will be allowed on this tour. - Video and audio recording of the tour is NOT allowed and is strictly prohibited. Photography is allowed and encouraged. - All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given. This is a rain, shine or snow event. If you are unable to attend, please be courteous and let us know. - This is a partial outside walking tour, so dress weather appropriate and wear shoes for walking on uneven surfaces. - For more information call - 423-663-5353. PLEASE NOTE: The second and third levels of the jail are ONLY accessible via a moderately strenuous staircase. There is no elevator.

Cancellation Policy

All bookings are final and non-refundable. All participants must be at least 8 years old and up to participate. This is not a paranormal investigation, so no outside paranormal equipment is allowed. Audio and video recording of the tour is strictly prohibited. Smoking, vaping and other tobacco usage is prohibited on the property. No alcohol or drugs are permitted and anyone giving the appearance of intoxication or inebriation will be removed from the tour without a refund.

Historic Scott County Jail is located in Eastern Standard Time (EST). Unless otherwise noted, all operating hours and event times listed are EST.

(Last guided tour tickets will be sold 1 hour before closing and last self-guided tour will be sold 30 minutes before closing.)

While the hours listed above are our standard operating hours, we are a small business located in rural East Tennessee with a limited staff. These standard business hours are subject to change due to inclement weather, private events or emergency situations. Any daytime operational hour changes will be announced on the Historic Scott County Jail Facebook Page. If you are traveling to the area, please check the page or call us to confirm that no announcements have been made.
